Lower Your Energy Usage This Summer with Our Conservation Tips

- 4:23 pm - March 31st, 2015

Spring has begun! The impending warm weather means it’s time to start considering how you’ll conserve energy during the coming months. Here are some tips that will help you lower your energy bills when the first big heat wave strikes:

  • Keep drapes, blinds and shades closed during the day to block out the sun.
  • Move furniture away from air conditioning vents so cooled air can circulate freely.
  • Cook on the grill whenever possible. If the weather (or other circumstances) dictate that you cook inside, use a microwave instead of a conventional oven
  • Install reflective window coatings to reflect heat away from your home.
